I bought an electric breast pump, please tell me what to expect with it?

My baby had to stay in the hospital a week (complications) and by the 4th day after birth I could pump about 4 oz. total. When your baby grows up, the more he/she eats, the more you’ll be able to pump. You should have the most milk in the morning, so take advantage of that and pump it all out! Then you can freeze whatever you’re not going to give baby and save it for later. I did that, and it came in handy when I hurt my back and was put on meds that were strong. I couldn’t nurse my baby on those, so it helped to have saved some! Good luck!

For few months also id get that nipple cream purple container something because youre nipples get sore lastly my doc told.
